review 1: I don't know what to make of this book. Since I am fascinated by anything to do with ancient Egypt I was enthused about reading it. I enjoyed it to a point. It's a fast paced thriller but I had a hard time keeping track of the characters who got into crazy episodes. Also it had some wild theories in it that were far-fetched and full of blarney in my opinion. I prefer a book that is historically accurate. It seemed to me that the author wrote an adventure story off the top of this head without doing his research.
review 2: The second in his Dan Knox series, Exodus Quest, looks for the historical origin of the Moses story. Biblical fundamentalists might have problems with some of his historical conclusions, but having a BA in religion, this author found his sugg... moreestions and conclusions interesting, often plausible, researched based and entertaining. A reader could, with little effort, focus on the twists and turns of the tale to find a fun read. less
