review 1: I really enjoyed this story! Once I got started I didn't want to stop reading it and honestly, stayed up quite late to finish it. The small town feel and the sense of community you feel in the story is amazing - spot on, but it's the tests of faith and displays of the "awful grace of God" that kept me reading. Small towns have their own distinct residents and characters. You become one of them and could almost pick which of the three churches the father preaches at to attend simply by the description of each congregation. Community, faith, family, love, loss all in the pages so I say read it and enjoy it.
