review 1: Not groud breaking and rushed but it's still an enjoyable read. The idea is brilliant and characters interesting but all the good stuff is never really developed, a lot of wasted opportunities e.g the changes the protagonist goes through could have been a basis for a fascinating psychological drama. It could have been a brilliant book but it isn't so if you want a truly thrilling AI book read Do androids dream of electric sheep by Philip Dick.
review 2: I received this kindle book for an honest review. I took longer than my normal couple of days to read because I have been sick. But, this is a great book. This isn't my normal genre, but the author assured me that it doesn't get caught up in tech stuff. It is a wonderful futuristic look at the world with robo
... morets as our nanny, driver, caregiver....after a pandemic wipes out a great deal of the population. Some robots begin to evolve, to think on their own free will and want equal rights...so an Underground Railroad of sorts assists those robots to freedom. The commander of the group that is sent out to recover rogue robots has a sad past and wants to help find the people responsible for helping the underground. This book has a wonderful story with lots of twists and turns. I enjoyed the story and the charactors. I think William Massa could write about anything and make it interesting. His writing style is so relaxed, yet so detailed. You have to try at least one of his books! less
