review 1: This book was sent to me thanks to a goodreads giveaway. This would not be a book I would typically purchase, but would possibly pick up at the library. I liked the overall message of the book and as a somewhat beginner in yoga I did find many things helpful. At the same time, it was sometimes hard to get through. The personal stories at the beginning of chapters were annoying (lots of name dropping-Madonna! Prince! Elton John! and reminding you that he was a model) but if you skim (or skip) those parts and read the meat of the book I believe there are some good takeaways. I found the posture guide very useful, especially outlining the benefits of each pose. People who are interested in or just starting out in yoga would enjoy this book. Hardcore yogi's may find it ... moreuseful as a reminder/reference.
