review 1: I loved this. While it wasn't perfect, there were moments of sheer brilliance that made me laugh out loud. I loved the character of Enigma/Lewis. He's the goth boy in the book description and, as it turns out, he's a little mentally damaged. He was so brilliant and the things he did were always so surprising. It's lovely to be truly surprised/delighted while reading a story and I felt that way about many of the things Lewis did. I *loved* the scene when he brings the goldfish into Dr. Faulkner's office, the 'essay' and the whole 'twin' thing. Hysterical! I will definitely look for more of this author's work. Highly recommended.
review 2: I liked this story and discovered that, for a short story, it had much more depth of characterization than is usuall
... morey found in something this short. Brandon appears to be no more than a shallow, self-involved slut of a man who can't even count how many men he's been with since it's a never-ending string of one-night stands. Lewis, aka Enigma, a guy Brandon meets on a Goth website, turns out to be a very complex character and manages to flip Brandon's world upside down. I liked the storyline and the author's ability to create these very three dimensional characters. I enjoyed watching the way Lewis got Brandon to face some self-truths and was happy the guys got their HEA. less
