review 1: Another AWESOME book from A.Meredith Walters... Check out the joint review me and my BB Davetta wrote for the Flirty and Dirty Book Blog:Hey Davetta I missed you girl!! We got to read Seductive Chaos together YAY! So what did you think about A.Meredith Walters latest Bad Rep book? Hey BB well Firstly how delighted are we to be back reviewing together? VERY!! J So the first words to come to mind Favourite so far BB! This book had me right from the beginning because of the instant intrigue I had with all the head games Cole and Vivian played with each other. I mean seriously BB if messing with someone’s head was a Olympic sport these two would be winning gold…What about you Naomi I know we loved the other books so what did you think?Hey BB firstly let me agree.. it’s ... moregreat to be back doing a review together again. ;) I really really enjoyed this book. I mean like you have said the head games and twisted psychology of Cole and Viv were epic and I found myself thinking REALLY! Your gonna let him get away with that but then Viv would explain and as much as you didn’t want to get it you kind of do.. Scary Huh!! These pair were so brilliantly matched as polar opposites!!Okay Davetta now for your view on our Rocker Cole?? So I kind of feel I should duck when I say this to you BB… I LOVED Cole *ducks and waits for flying shoe* I know that he is a complete douche and so full of himself oh and such an ass but….. hey he made no promises of wine and roses he made it clear from the very beginning and he just wanted the rock and roll lifestyle. If it helps any I tried to ate him but I just couldn’t do it. BB if you put your hand on your heart would you not agree that he could not be any more sexy of he tried.. I mean come on BB Cole is a Rock God right??So Naomi what say you on Cole Rock God or Rock Douche???Okay Okay BB I will put my hand on my heart and tell you that for a lot of this book I didn’t like him and would say Rock Douche *hangs head in shame* I really tried but I just kept thinking ‘Holy Sh*t’ if he treated me like that I would have ripped off his junk! But this is why I love reading, the more you read the more you learn about why characters are arrogant narcissistic pr*cks (yes that was my initial description of Cole) and then it all starts to change. Behaviours fall into place and you start to get that warm fuzzy feeling. Although I am not so sure everyone will feel that way.. but that’s what makes this book great.So Vivian the minx what were your thoughts Davetta??Well I will start as always by saying how much we don’t like a weak leading lady in our stories do we BB? I think that some people may read this book and think just that. I don’t see it that way at all in fact I think Viv was made of some real tough stuff and a very honest person about the woman she was. I think she craved attention so much at times it was her downfall but she owned that sh*t and I think that was when she truly began to shine.What do you reckon Naomi do you agree with my take on Vivian?Well well well what a filthy little madam Vivian turned out to be hey BB!!! But I have to say I agree with 110%. I don’t think Viv was weak and at times I think it took real courage to just be who she wanted to be, and do who (oh I mean what..lol) ever she wanted to make herself happy. I have to say at times I did get frustrated with her because she even admitted she was ‘Bakersvilles prettiest doormat’ and I just thought she could do better… but hearing Coles side of the story helped you get over that. I think on some levels she was just as arrogant as Cole and that’s why they made for the perfect match.Okay so last but not least our joint opinion of Seductive Chaos?Well I think we both agree that Viv and Cole’s relationship (if that’s what you can call it.. as they certainly didn’t!) was so completely and utterly destructive from the beginning that the title of this book ‘Seductive CHAOS’ was just hitting the nail on the head. But that is what made you want to turn the pages in this book because you wanted to know how they could ever get anywhere with each other when the basis of your ‘relationship’ is rage jealousy and filthy f*cking with a lot of arguing in-between. We would have to agree that there are times that you think that it won’t work and we found our hearts broke a little at the prospect of them going their separate ways.But this book was about more than just a messed up relationship. It was about trying to find your way in the world as an adult and making the right choices when others are ther influencing you. It’s about the fact there is always someone out there waiting to make things shitty in someone’s life so they can swoop in and take advantage when you’re at your weakest point. But most of all to us it was about the importance of true friendship and about just how fragile it can be. But love is love and if you’ve got it then it can conquer all. No matter how much Chaos surrounds it.
review 2: Oh, well, I really liked this one more than the others, I liked the kind of crazy that Vivian was, I mean, it bothered me some times but, she was fine, I understood...Cole, Cole, Cole. Good God, I hated and loved him. That's it, that describes him, he's the person you love to hate and hate to love...The story and characters were good, I just found a couple of grammar mistakes that, since English is not my first language, well, I found them appalling... but yeah, the book is good!GO READ IT! less
