review 1: 5.0 out of 5 stars Gideon Oliver on the case in Tuscany., June 4, 2014 This review is from: Dying on the Vine (A Gideon Oliver Mystery) "Dying on the Vine" by Aaron Elkins.Gideon has returned to Tuscany at the invitation of Pietro Cubbiddu, patriarch of the Villa Antica. And so our story begins with Gideon and Julia, his wife, along with John Lau, Gideon's closest friend, and his wife.It seems that Pietro had not returned from his yearly sabbatical. His wife, Nola, usually picks him up from his cabin hideaway after she has visited with a relative. The Cubbiddu siblings have no idea what has become of their father and his wife. The police have reported this to be an open and shut case after finding both bodies at the bottom of a cliff. a case of murder/suicide.Enter the Sk... moreeleton Detective. Nothing is at it seems once Gideon arrives and he focuses on the skeletal remains to give him the answers needed to prove otherwise.I love the Gideon Oliver series and this story proved to be another wonderful entry.
