review 1: I thought that this book was a classic story about baseball in 9 generations of a family. It's both exiting, adventurous, and, sad. It is nicknamed a novel in nine innings because it is about baseball and their are nine different lives of the same family. When Snider finds out the basball bat's price he gets excited, it gets exciting when someone buys it. There are very many stories and they all take place about baseball. It is adventurous when a girl gets in the major leagues. It gets sad when a boy breaks his leg in a fire. When you read this book you won't be able to put it down for it is a HOMERUN!
review 2: The Brooklyn Nine goes through a series of nine different generations (generations of baseball that is). With a very creative plot, this book is overall ve
... morery interesting and great. Ironically the whole book takes place in Brooklyn. For each generation there is a different character (so a total of nine main characters), but never once is a character forgotten. This book has more to offer than just simply baseball. At first it was a bit confusing, but when I read more I realized how awesome/creative the storyline was. Each character played a unique part in the book, they all contributed in some way to each other. The Brooklyn Nine is not just a book for baseball players, it goes above beyond the baseball diamond. There was never a dull moment, something significant was always happening. Until I read more information on the book, I did not realize that all the characters were realated (that is just a taste of part of the significance of this book). The pros of this book were the creativity, and uniqueness. The only cons were the bit of confusion I had (book was not necessarily clear about everything), but if you like somewhat of a puzzle this book is for you. I would definitely recommend this book to somebody. The Brooklyn Nine is a solid book with a lot to offer. less
