review 1: Someone is trying to convince the US that Iran has nuclear weapons. Is it a real threat or another WMD hoax? Former CIA agent John Wells is in a race against time to find out if the nuclear weapons are real. And if not, who wants to propel the US into a war with Iran? Definitely a page turner that will keep you glued to your seat! This is my first John Wells thriller and it was good enough that I will be back for more.
review 2: This is a professionally written thriller that has garnered a lot of favorable reviews, and certainly it touches many of the right bases - rogue CIA agents, Iranian bad guys, authentic international settings. I felt, however, that it lacked excitement, tension and pace, so I had to push my way through it rather than be drawn along
... moreby its appeals. I also found it hard to keep the characters straight because little about them was memorable, and I often couldn't recall who they were given just their names. Worst thing about it is the ending; there isn't one - unless you buy the next book. Or maybe the one after that. This, in my view, is cheating the reader. A writer makes a commitment to spin the reader a good story; and good stories require an ending. less

Story decent, but this one kind of plodded along. Read this when you don't have another one.
