review 1: I get that John is addicted to the life that he has lived and feels the need to save the world, but with this book his choices have come back to bite him in the ass big time. The thing that annoyed me about John was he realized this, but still made the choices that would blow up his personal life. Yes, I liked that John once again was able to save the world, but it came at a great cost to him. It will be interesting to see just how big the cost ends up being.
review 2: The story was well woven together, but I expected more from Wells in description and action. When I read action spy novels like this, I like to know how the hero gets the bad guys, and what makes him tick. In this book I got a lot more description of the terrorists and not a lot a out Wells. ... morehis is my second Berenson novel, and probably my last. There are too many fine books in this action spy genre to enjoy. less
