review 1: I really enjoyed this book and am going back to read "Clean" as soon as I can. The world building was interesting, alot of recognizable tags. I liked this, because I often don't see the point of renaming something just to give it a weird name. The FBI was still the FBI for instance. Alex is a curious hero, teetering on the edge of addiction. He'd not the easiest guy to like, but you'll end up rooting for him. I'm sure things won't all work out, since he has a tendency to ruin his own chances, but it will keep me reading to find out what he does get out of life.
review 2: I am not a guy, but I think Hughes does a great job writing a male lead character. I love Adam's angst, his brokenness, his recovery. He's a real character, very vividly written. Of cours
... moree, I love the relationship between him and Cherabino. Hughes comes up with great mysteries set within the scope of mindspace. She's imagining all the twisted things that people could do with their minds if we had psychic abilities. I like the fact that she's villainized technology as well. I am hooked, and I will continue to read anything that Hughes writes! less
