review 1: Not one of my favorites, the 2 different and parallel stories were distracting and there isn't a connection until the very end, and that's not what I expect from a book like this. Maggie's part was way more interesting, thrilling and frightening that Ben's one, and I'm also getting tired of the "do I want/have a relationship with this guy or not?ohhhh I'm so unsure/used to be by myself/tired of being hurt". We have this since book one! Only the guy changed! The character needs to evolve, one way or the other.
review 2: Maggie O'Dell is one of my favorite characters. She is smart and damaged in a way that makes her both real and enjoyable to the reader. As usual Alex kava has crafted a storyline with many twists and turns. She is able to keep you guessing all th
... moree way till the end. Even when the story seems to be over, there are still some surprises in store. For those of us who have enjoyed Maggie front the beginning this novel should give you a good feeling about where she is headed as a person. less

3.5 stars really. Good but not great, but better than the last 2 books in this series.
