review 1: Whoa! A lot can happen in 48 hours. This is actually one of Alex's shorter novels but it is not short on action and suspense. While a quick read, I was glued to the page waiting to see what would happen next. I have never thought of myself as a conspiracy theorist before but Alex got me to thinking. The story opens with a bombing on Black Friday at the Mall of America. While on the trail of profiling just who the sicko is that could do this, Maggie has to contend with her feelings towards a brother whom she hardly knows and decide if he had anything to do with the bombing. Throw good ol’ Nick in the mix and it a roller coaster of emotion. Even if you havent read previous books, Alex gives you the back story of each of the main charaters to bring you up to speed. ... moreThis story is action packed. It never slows down. If left me a lot to think about regarding past bombings and attacks that have taken place in the US. As always not a disappoint. I am a huge fan of Alex Kava.
review 2: The shelf is actually "heard"...or even more accurately, "partially heard". I had it on cd in my car, and I have to admit, my mind wasn't totally focused on the story. Still, I got the drift, and it's a decent story. Don't think that even if I had been totally in tune, that I'd be able to say it was a great story. But probably, a good, middle of the road story of intrigue, this time, bombings of landmarks and airports in U.S. less

I would give this a one star but I couldn't bring myself to even do that.
