review 1: This was just an OK mystery for me. The French policewoman/blue blood Capucine and her overweight but adorable food critic husband Alexandre go back to Capucine's roots and investigate the cause of several apparent hunting accidents. They all seem so very french, so it was hard to get to know the characters well. I usually like mysteries set in foreign settings, but for some reason, Capucine left me cold.
review 2: The book seems well written, however I had a really tough time connecting with any of the characters. This non-connection made it difficult for me to make myself read and therefore, I didn't enjoy the book as much as I should.This mystery by Alexander Campion is set in 16th Century Paris and has a lot of twists and turns.Not everyone can or should li
