review 1: Fast paced, lots of action, lots of characters. In fact, new characters, mostly unlikable, pop up all through the book, and yet the main characters are not well developed. Who is Sophie? What does she really think and feel? The police are corrupt and the gangsters, not so much. What was the point of the tale? That corrupt police can turn someone into a gangster? Not up to the standard of other Scandinavian writers such as Jo Nesbo.
