review 1: Hmm ... had I seen this in the store rather than online, I might not have bought it. The photos of most of the items to sew for your baby are so stylized that you have no idea what the finished product will look like (like the little boy's hat). There are also very few how-to diagrams to go along with the print instructions. I definitely want to makes some things from the book like the baby bedding, diaper bag, and some of the clothes, but I have a feeling I'm going to be tearing my hair out trying to figure out the instructions. We'll see.
review 2: Amy's patterns are so great for sewers that like order and measurements. A lot of adorable sewing books right now have guidlines and patterns but leave some things up to your own interpretations... Don't get me wro
... moreng! I LOVE those books, too, but there are times when I want my project to look as lovely and professional looking as something you'd find in a high-end boutique. It's always fun to show someone something you've made, having them think that you spent a fortune on it only to surprise them by saying, "I made that!" less
