review 1: A random library find. I am a language nerd, and this is the first picture book on punctuation for children that I would actually read to children. So many of them are boring or pedantic, but this one sorts out what different punctuation does without being preachy. It's very clever and very cute. The story is acutally about discovering that being different isn't necessarily bad, but it sneakily teaches along the way. Well done!
review 2: Who knew that in illustration and text an exclamation mark could be such a unique and exciting character! Rosenthal's text is tight (except when the question mark is doing his thing) and Lichtenheld's illustrations are amazingly emotional (especially when our hero feels deflated). A charming book about acceptance and finding
