review 1: This is Mikael and Shane's story, I have to admit I didnt really know what to think of Shane. You only get a small glimpse of him in the previous book when he comes to the boys house on a police call. He's such a good person, very likeable charcter, he's got a very differnet way of talking that some people dont really understand. Luckily Mickey does. He's a dancer, whos been working with Shane's twin at rennaisance fairs. When they meet its pretty much instant attraction. But Mickey is fighting it, he's had a very difficult life and his mother is dying. When Shane is hurt again on the job, he realizes that he NEEDS Shane to be safe and be with him. It really is a very sweet story, these two are meant for each other. With Mickey's stubborness and Shane's sweetness,... more it makes for a great story.
review 2: Another wonderful book from Amy Lane. She writes some truly amazing romances and her chracters are full of life and depth. I love immersing myself into this world and getting to know all of the people so much better. It never feels like there are any secondary characters in this series. Each and every person feels just as important as the main couple. You feel yourself growing to care for them all as individuals, but the best part of all is the overwhelming sense of family and love. It's infectious! Shane and Mickey were absolutely perfect for each other and their pasts were both heart breaking and full of hope. As I have already mentioned, it was so great to see Crick, Deacon, Benny and the rest of the gang again. They are such great people. Thanks to Em and Giorgia for another awesome Buddy Read. I can't wait to read the third book with you :) less
