review 1: I got 1 ch. In and realized I don't even want to bother. It's a trilogy. LET IT GO Cremer! This book just takes away from the ones before it and should never have been written. I can't even remember what happened in Bloodrose and didn't care enough to re-read it. I couldn't even remember who Adne was so I certainly didn't care to hear about her as a narrator. Once I read a couple of the other reviews, remembered what happened and who Adne was, I became more confident in my decision to not bother reading this pointless book.
review 2: I know when you finish a good book sometimes you wish you could be with those characters more and see what happens after the happy/heroic endings. This book proves you really don't need more. It's unnecessary to continue a plot... more where everything was resolved nicely. I did enjoy the prequel series but maybe the sequel series should have been much later so stronger protagonists could be developed instead of taking your secondary characters and trying to make them the stars. Not terrible but not good. less
