review 1: I am generally hot and cold on this author's books. I read the rest of this series so I naturally picked this one up. After listening to 95% of the book it occurred to me I didn't care how it ended. I was never able to empathize with the main characters. I guess that kind of says it all. Quite a few people enjoyed the novel giving high ratings but I couldn't honestly do it. The book just wasn't for me.
review 2: The 3rd book in the series and I hope the author just keeps writing them (there are 4 now and it's just not enough!). These MC's have had it really tough and come through the story stronger than most people would (of course, they should since it's fiction) but the author does it in such a realistic way it gives hope that even normal people could do it t... moreoo. The relationship with Brenda was a little odd but that may be why the author wrote it that way. A great morale told within the story. less
