review 1: I could't put this book down. The 5 Star rating doesn't seem sufficient on this one. Where are more stars when you need them!This book is filled with such angst, I wasn't sure my heart could take it. Alice Montalvo-Tribue takes us on a journey with Jordan & Alex that is so gut wrenching at times it feels like the air is being sucked out of the room. What I expected to be a sweet love story unfolding with the older brother of latin superstar Victor Garza and the best friend of his wife Elle that we met in Translation of Love turned out to be something entirely different. The constant battle of trying to find the right feelings, trying to hold on to something you know is there but is just out of your reach - that was Desperation of Love. I LOVED THIS STORY! I loved the ... morecharacters, each and everyone one of them. I swear I could physically feel the pain they were going through. The love that hit them when they least expected it was monumental because of the secrets that dictated their lives, some were their own secrets while others were held by others. Read this book! Feel this story unfold and walk away not feeling the connections? I don't think it's possible. Thank you Alice Montalvo-Tribue for sharing Alex & Jordan's story with us. I can't wait for your next book to be released!
review 2: There are times when you read the second book in a series in hope of getting more than a glimpse of the main characters from the first book. While it was great to see what's been happening with Elle and Victor, what's happening with Jordan and Alex will not disappoint you. These are amazing characters created by a wonderfully talented author. Their journey will make you laugh and cry. We've all had times where we feel we aren't good enough for someone we love. You can feel the fear and hurt these characters are feeling as well as the love they fight so strongly for. You will nit be disappointed by this book. I look forward to more by this author and I know you will too. less
