Young Sherlock Holmes
review 1: I love this series so far. It's just so perfect in all its Sherlock amazingness. Since Sherlock is 15 in this story and we all know he goes on to be a famous detective, there were some moments I thought I was going to lose one of my favorite characters of all time because of just how bleak the situation seemed. This is only possible because of the impeccable writing style that I love so very much. The author is British and writes accordingly, and I just love it so much. So, there you go. I also loved seeing Sherlock go to America and try to talk to Americans. I also really loved Rufus Jones. Just... yes. Anyway, I need to get back to reading the third book, so I'll leave you with this: Go read it. Now.
review 2: I enjoyed reading this book. This series slowly in
... moretroduces the various characteristics associated with Holmes. For example, Crowe is still teaching him about clues and logic. And, on a ship to America, Holmes meets with somebody who introduces him to the violin. But this is all done in a casual way and is not forced so it does not interfere with the plot.I also appreciated the historical fiction angle giving various physical and cultural details of the time and place. less

It was okay. Boring in some parts yet fascinating how the things in the story happened.
