review 1: LoveStar is a wonderful piece of fancy and and speculative fiction. The smattering of science fiction used to support the story is not intrusive, though it is essential. More than Science Fiction I would call it Business Start-Up and Theological fiction. It is a bit of Genesis, a bit of 1984, and a lot of fairytale, mixed by a cynical but sweet, definitely not jaundiced sensibility.LoveStar is an enterpaneur and since I can't spell enterprenuer, and I can't figure out spell checking and correction easily and in short order, you'll have to settle for my apology for the misspelling.LoveStar discovers the birdwave while investigating a series of ecological disruptions, and all the birds and butterflys, it turns out, flock and navigate using this subtle form of presumably elec... moretromagnetic radiation. He starts a company using birdwave technology to link everybody into a global consciousness, but still they are individual. Later LoveStar, the company, learns how to calculate everybodies perfect mate, disrupting current pairings, including the couple who serve as dual protangonists, who are already in perfect love, by pairing one lover with their perfect match, who is usually a complete stranger. Then they buy up all the cemetaries and form LoveDeath, launching corpses on fast suborbital ballistic paths, to burn like meteors in the uppper atmosphere. THen LoveStar discovers the coordinates of the destination of each and every prays in the world-one single place. A division called LoveGod is formed and LoveStar himself journeys to that spot and finds something to bring back to iceland, where LoveStar originated and is HQed.In the end, after being eaten by a big bad wolf (harmless in fact, genetically engineered for amusement along with bear-sized foxes which are quite harmful, for vikings to fight) the couple find happiness and everyone else in the world dies.Did I spoil it? No. There's too much to this gem-I couldn't possibly ruin it. in fact, I'm going to read it again and expect to be surprised all over again!
review 2: A rengeteg gondolatot és érzelmet, amit a könyv olvasása során átéltem szavakkal visszaadni nem lehet (bármennyire is igyekeztem). Mint ahogy egy magból fa nő és gyökeret ereszt és a gyökér egyre mélyebbre és mélyebbre tör úgy törtek fele ezek a gondolatok és érzések is bennem. A könyv elején csak a csíra „látszott” majd ahogy egyre előrébb haladtam a könyvben annál mélyebb érzések és gondolatok fogalmazódtak meg bennem és a könyv is egyre bonyolultabb lett, ahogy előre haladtunk benne.Aki elolvassa valamelyest érteni fogja, mire gondolok.Mint írtam, nem egy könnyű olvasmány, ezért előfordulhat, hogy többször el kell olvasni ahhoz, hogy elkezdje az ember megérteni. Én is el fogom még olvasni, időről időre, ahogy idősebb leszek újra és újra elő fogom venni, hogy idősebb fejjel is elolvassam és összehasonlítsam a mostani felfogásommal és a világ mostani alakulásával és a majdani alakulásával. less
