Nina Wilde & Eddie Chase
review 1: Another solid showing from Andy McDermott as he brings history and myth into an intoxicating chase to save the world from annihilation. BY now the characters are well ingrained and easy to identify with which again makes the novel move seamlessly to its conclusion where once again the pair of Nina and Eddie save the world from a madman hell-bent on destruction. The refreshing thing aboout this novel is that McDermott doesn't allow the heroes to leave completely unscathed as he leaves the predicament of Nina as a cliffhanger possibly to be dealt with in another novel. Overall the series is still going strong as McDermott manages to create new intriguing plotlines.
review 2: I loved the storyline for this book and I really enjoyed the continuous flashbacks. Come
... moreto think of it, not much actually happened in this book. Compared to earlier books in the series that is. I will say that I'm so freaking pissed that the ONE thing I've been waiting for since Nina and Eddie got married is not going to happen now. I mean, I totally understand the logic, but I don't like it. Makes me wonder though if the next book is going to be the final in the series or if McDermott is simply going to leave the audience hanging and have the world be the 'Wilde-Chases' oyster...Hmm, intrigue... less
