review 1: Listened to this book on cd on the recommendation of a friend. Felt convicted so I picked up The Best Yes to read. The Best Yes quotes this book. My husband listened to it twice and told our teenage son he had to listen to it. Became a fan of Andy Stanley after his Guardrails study. This book is so simple. So very basic simple. But so excellently laid out you just can't stop thinking on it or seeing it in your life.
review 2: Andy Stanley is such a phenomenal communicator. All his teachings are practical. And in his explanations, he relates as if we were having a conversation. He tells me what I'm probably thinking (and it normally is), addresses issues I would have asked him about, and confronts the problems you will face in applying these principles. In this ... morebook, his main message is that direction determines destiny, not intentions. Whatever path you are taking currently is where you will end up. It's a principle that will apply to you whether you believe it or not. And his warning is that even if you know you are going down the wrong path, if you don't change your actions, you'll still go down the path. Knowledge doesn't save you, the right actions do. less
