review 1: Sage and Hawk. Sage and Hawk were engaged when Sage was supposed to have died in a military mission. A year later Hawk went to rescue a group of American women in capture in Thailand and found Sage alive there. He feels an urge to be a dom of BDSM, but he thinks that is too degrading for her. Sage does not think so.　　Boring. Writing expressions are clumsy, Hawk is spending too much time thinking about his tendency as wrong way to treat Sage.King's people are still after Sage and even on the Air force base. Since Sage does not know her threat, she goes back to work, where Hawk took her out after seeing a spy nearby. They got away from this spy, but when Sage was out shopping with Rayna and Josie, all three were kidnapped by King. King turned out to have a twin b... morerother, and it was his twin brother who was in prison. Garrett Hawk rescued Sage again, and now accepts who he is in bedroom. The writing and expressions were so cumbersome. The story was frustratingly slow, and there were only a few hot scenes.Would not continue onto book 2.
review 2: DNF @ 30%This is my second DNF in a week. I am not amused.....I'm actually a little stunned at how ANGRY this book made me. There have been a lot of books I don't like, but very few have made me see redspoilers I just can't handle the premise of this book. Woman held captive for over a year, presumably to be sold into slavery. Let me add here that I assume a woman held as a sex slave for a year, wouldn't get away NOT being raped for that year. Fiance devastated. Miraculously finds her, BUT he doesn't want her now unless he can dominate her. Simply can not have sex with her even with her begging for it. We've completely skipped any recovery time from captivity. She's never even said whether she was raped or not. Same day he's off to fuck someone else, so he can be a "Dom." Then, instead of telling him to go to hell, like she should, she embraces him and tries to make it all better. Unfortunately, he's decided that no DECENT woman would enjoy sexual submission. SO, he's just going to protect her and take care of his barbaric needs on the side. SO, instead of focusing on this poor woman, who's been through hell, we're focusing on his issues with BDSM?........ Yep. 100% fuck that! Self absorbed prickNo rating as I didnt/couldn't finish less
