A tervem itt egy egyszerű felsorolás volt, de végül is attól azért egy kicsit több lesz. Részletes leírásokat ne várjon senki, azokra külön fejezetet szánok más bejegyzésekben. Abban se vagyok teljesen biztos, hogy sikerült elkapnom az összes valaha megjelent kiadványt, mivel ez így nincs hivatalosan összeszedve – számos próbálkozást látok rá, sok helyen, és én is csak ezek nyomdokait próbálom követni.
Itt most végigveszem, hogy mit is adtak ki a Known Worldhöz, Hollow Worldhöz és Mystarához. Amihez lehet, próbálok majd képet is keresni. Lesznek itt modulok, világleírások, dobozos termékek, térképek, regények, sőt számítógépes játék is.
Known Worldhöz (és egyébként Hollow Worldhöz is) kiadásra került kiegészítők mind kaptak valamilyen kódolást, ami alapján nagyjából be lehet azonosítani, hogy mi is a célja, anélkül, hogy ismerné az ember magát a füzetet, vagy könyvet. Ezeket a kódokat még itt szeretném tisztázni az elején.
Kell tennünk egy lépést hátra a kódok megértéséhez sajnos, és át kell beszélnünk egy nem szorosan ide tartozó dolgot. A legfontosabb (legalábbis most) rövidítés, amit már korábban is írtam, az a BECMI. Ez a mozaikszó a D&D (D&D Basic) szintezett felosztására utal. Karakterszintekhez mérten a modulok az alábbi osztályokhoz tartoztak:
- Basic (level 1 – 3)
- Expert (level 4 – 14)
- Companion (level 15 – 25)
- Master (level 26 – 36)
- Immortal (level 36 + immortal)
Tehát ahogy azt írtam is, a klasszikus BECMI-sorozatban megjelent modulok jelöléséből meg lehetett mondani, hogy hogyan jöttek sorban kiadási időben, illetve, hogy melyik karakterszinthez voltak javallottak (azon túl, hogy nyilván rá is van írva az ajánlott karakterszint). Basic karaktereknek szóló kalandmodulok jelölése B, Experthez tartozóké X, Companionhoz tartozóké CM, a Masteré M, még végülis az Immortalé IM. Ezek, egy szám kíséretében természetesen fel is kerültek a füzetek borítójára B1, X3, I1, CM6 formában.
Egy szó a furcsa színválasztásomról még ha megengeditek! A fent említett szintekhez külön szabálykönyveket adtak ki, külön dobozokban: BASIC RULES SET 1, EXPERT RULES SET 2, stb. Mindegyiküknek meg volt a rá jellemző színe – legalábbis az a szín, amivel a leginkább elterjedt a köztudatban; ez már csak azért is érdekes, mert néha hivatkoznak rájuk a színük alapján, pl. the red box vagy the blue box.
