review 1: When I think of fears my thoughts turn to fear of snakes, claustrophobia, or sometimes even the dark. What Angie Smith labels as fears are things I might think about at times, but don't consider them to be fears. She has gone through her life suffering from many extreme fears that I found difficult to connect with. I empathize with her but I can't understand fears that are that extreme. That being said, she does make some good connections to stories in scripture and looks at them in a different light that allows you to think about how you approach situations in your own life. If overwhelming fears are not something you face, there are still takeaways with her connections to scripture.
review 2: This is the first book of Angie Smith's that I've read, but I want
... moreto read her first book, "I Will Carry You" after completing this one. She's a great writer. I love how she took characters from the Bible to show how they battled fear and incorporated her own personal stories as well. And her prayers! Her prayers at the end of each chapter for specific fears are emboldened and beautiful. Jesus is lifted high! less
