review 1: I enjoyed this book very much, as I have all of the Sirantha Jax books. I love the characters, the relationships, and the fast-paced epic action. The reason that I didn't love this book quite as much as some of the others though is because it is light on the characters and relationships, and VERY heavy on the action. Too heavy for my taste. Some might appreciate some more battle and gore, I found myself wishing for more talk-time between my favorite characters. A few new or lesser-known characters got more time in this book, which was interesting, but the main characters (March, Vel, Dina)get a bit of a backseat, which was disappointing and had me hurrying to get through the book.
review 2: 4.5* Ah, now this installment redeemed the series for me. So much bette... morer!!I love so many of these characters, & this book took us on such an emotional roller coaster when it came to them. I wasn't happy about all of the decisions the author made, because it was heartbreaking at times but I'm hoping there is a much bigger picture at hand. A lot of action, a lot happened in this book. Obviously some that I liked, some that I didn't. :P I had forgotten that I read in a review that there was going to be a cliffhanger, so I was a bit disappointed to have the book end where it did. I was like, "no, not now!!!" But I'm now more than ready to pick up the next book!! less
