review 1: I'm sad to see this series end. But I think the author wrapped it up really well. Over the past few years I have been disappointed in the final books of a few great series- because they felt so unfinished. I need an ending! It's the only reason to end a great series in my eyes. So the reader can discover how everything 'turns out.' I realize an author can't really make a series final unless they just kill everyone or something, so of course the stories are going to be a little open ended. But this is one of the first finales that I can think of where the author really pulled off 'still open yet felt finished.' Goodbye, Sirantha Jax. I'll never forget you.

... mored March are forced to sort out their lingering issues, properly. It's more war, which I find hard to read - also because it's high stakes and nothing seems too brutal to do. I like that this is the precursor to riding into the sunset - there's a definite sense of that having been earned by this point even though the previous book was far more personally satisfying to me. That said, still loving the way the gentle poly vibe is developed here and how March comes to terms with it and grows more as a person. Very interested in reading other stuff by this author having finished this series now. less
