review 1: My favorite of the Sirantha Jax series!Being strong-armed into serving as an ambassador, Jax is beyond navigating through mere space... She must successfully navigate the foreign customs and politics of an Insect alien race! Any misstep could mean her own death or the death of the human race if negotiations go awry!Okay, I'm sounding somewhat overly dramatic here, but seriously, it was a very good read.
review 2: Wow, what the HELL happened to this series? I am so disappointed. Here I was, getting my hopes up after reading the first book, thinking I'd found an awesome series, and then it just lets me down like a bad boyfriend. Ugh. The first book was pretty awesome. Relationship annoyances between Sirantha and March aside, it was still kick-ass, with lots of bl... moreood-pumping action, cool aliens, and razor wit. Now it's devolved into diplomatic bullshit, as Sirantha, the once-cool, sexy heroine who didn't need anyone's help, is an ambassador on an alien planet. Instead of getting into fights and flying about space, she's stuck in meetings talking about politics and the weather. SO. BORING. I couldn't get more than fifty pages in before I gave up. Seriously, WHAT HAPPENED? I almost want to cry. less
