review 1: That's an amazing conclusion for the Razorland Saga! Words are not enough to convey how wonderful this story has been. The adventure, the characters, and their story - wow! It's definitely one of my favorite series now along with Harry Potter and Vampire Academy. Yes, so far, I only have two favorite series and this one definitely can add up on that list. *may contain spoilers*A lot of things happened in Horde. It was a bit long, 400+ pages but the content made up for it. I don't think any thing less than that will do justice with the story. I don't care that it took me 5 days to finish it, I actually can't get enough of the story. The war has started and Deuce is leading them. You probably know how irritated I am when a bunch of teenagers are suddenly the last hope of sav... moreing the humanity. That's not the case with this series. Deuce may be a teenager but she proved herself worthy for the last two books that she's capable to lead. I see her grow; she's strong, not just physically plus she have her band of friends that will be there beside her to fight and die with her. Along the way, she met other people who shares her mission. I loved the part that the war wasn't rushed. It took time for her to recruit allies and train them but the story is still fast-paced that you will not get bored. In this part, the story got broader and we met new people too. This is another reason why I truly enjoyed this series. I have learned to love and care to each one of them. From the main characters to the minor, they're all in my mind throughout the whole book. I worried over their safety; I cried over their deaths. And speaking of deaths, I've been expecting it but it was still a huge blow to me. It's very rare for me to cry over character deaths but Stalker's end devastated me. He's my favorite character out of all the original four. Don't get me wrong. I don't think he's sexy and hot. I found him creepy and repulsive in the first book for the same reason that you have:1) he's a rapist 2) he abandoned his cubs when it's a losing end 3) he's a savage! But as the story progresses, I saw his development. He wants to made amends on all the things he did which he doesn't have an idea that it was wrong. I guess, the foster father he met in the Salvation also helped him to hone how he is right now aside from Deuce. The way he accepted his faults and tried to correct them is the main reason why I really liked him. His loyalty to Deuce even if he knows that he'll never get her affection in return shows that he learned that he cannot have everything. And lastly, his sacrifice to save Tegan! That moved my heart and in a sense fitting in the story. I was glad that he didn't sacrificed himself for Deuce since it's very clear that Deuce doesn't need saving at all. I was happy that he gave up his life for Tegan. It may not be enough for what Tegan has experienced under his rule but in my eyes, he have redeemed himself. For me, I forgave Stalker. As for the plot, it was nicely done. I didn't see that part coming, you know. In book two, we learned that this Freaks are not just mere Zombies, they're mutants and in someway, still human although some of them are driven by their hatred over humans. I was constricted over killing them all since some of them clearly has feelings too. I was scared that genocide will only be the answer in the end. But it proves me wrong!"For peace to begin, someone must lay his weapons down." p341Overall, this series is fitting to be called a Saga. Deuce and the rest of the people who joined to fight and die with her are heroes. Their heroic achievement is something that future generation should look up to. It's a story that will teach you bravery, friendship, and leadership.
review 2: I have to admit I dreaded the end, I was so afraid that it would be horrible and that I would have to cry for weeks but thank god it was beautiful. So this book is divided in three parts and I didn't really like the first part or the beginning of the second part but after that I couldn't stop reading and it was totally worth it to struggle through the first half. Thank you Aguirre for not being cruel by having a horrible ending! less
