review 1: When I began this book, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or how the story would progress. I enjoyed the story and loved the fact that it was written in a different and quite refreshing style from typical chick-lit books. It explored the relationships between a group of people and was sad in places but there were one or two laugh out loud moments. This is the first book that I had read by this author and I would be happy to try more of her books.
review 2: This book has also been published as "The One I Love".I thought the characters were very human. We're not all perfect, how we all react to the loss of a loved one varies from person to person and this story reflects that.Although it develops as a sad story with death, illness and disappointments in
... morelove, the story ends on a lighter, happier note on how we can forge friendships through sorrow, that it is never too late to make a fresh start. When I started reading this I didn't expect to enjoy it, but the story kept me gripped and I admit, I wanted to find out if Tom and Jane's friendship would develop into something more (I'm not going to say, you'll have to read it to find out!) less
