review 1: Thorough escapism and the first in a trilogy to be recommended for anyone who likes a story with a hint of the occult and who has ever even remotely entertained running away with a circus - and who didn't dream of that one as a child? (Or did my Mum just threaten to give me away to the circus? Hmm...)This isn't your run-of-the-mill circus act though. This is a circus set up by fairies who need to feed off the dreams of mortals, whose house magician is a Salem witch and whose mousey new addition to the troupe turns out to be very far from a mortal mouse!
review 2: I wanted to like this more. It started out pretty strong and ended very strong. it was just the middle that lost me. I figured out some things quickly, other twists were complete surprises. not going t... moreo write a long review on this book. I thought it was average. I saw lots of reviews that think it was awesome but for me I t was just ok... one of those books whose idea is better then the execution. less
