review 1: This book is about a little girl who thinks of a great idea. She knows just how it will look and work, but when she tries to create what she envisions in her head, she encounters many difficulties. The girl persevered time after time, struggle after struggle. So the girl became frustrated and angry, ready to call it quits. That’s when her dog suggested that she take a break, and presented the leash to her. On their walk the girl finds the enthusiasm to finish her project and get it just right. This book does a good job at promoting the message subtly through experience. I like the message that this book sends to children. It could be used in the classroom to teach children to embrace their ideas and dreams. It sends the message that even when you are presented with strug... moregles, as long as you never give up, you can reach your goals. I think this book would be considered well written because this message is never explicitly stated, so readers draw this message in their own conclusions.Spires, A., & Ucar, Y. (2014). review 2: Brilliant story with delightful illustrations, this is a great book for reading aloud and sharing! The girl and her best friend - her dog - do everything together and, when the girl dreams of making the magnificent thing her dog helps her. They try all different sorts of designs but nothing seems to work until . . . . well, that would spoil the book for you - you need to read it yourself to find out what happens but it is fantastic!I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t resist sharing it with my daughter - even though she is now grown up! I will be looking out for other books by this author and illustrator in future. The story involves the girl setting some excellent role model moments of willingness to have a go, even though the task is difficult . . . keeping on trying, modifying ideas and adapting despite set backs . . . . and shows that if you keep on trying, you may eventually succeed! Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley too for letting me read this book in exchange for this, an honest review. less

Cute story, but some awesome word choice that boosts this to be an even better book.
