review 1: Binky is living his quiet life as a space cat when a new cat comes to town, and Binky doesn't know whether or not he can be trusted.Although clever and well-written, this book started to drag on towards the end, and honestly became quite boring. The plot was sort of plain and didn't really move too far, but over all it was a decent book and I would recommend it to any child who likes cats or space. Even thought the story was bland, the illustrations are rather good and give the story needed interest. I found the drawings of Binky the cat to be very cute and funny because he has very many facial expressions, and I think children of all ages will get a kick out of it. The pictures in this book enhance the story, and for that I would recommend to give it a read if you have so... moreme time.
review 2: Reason for Reading: Next in the series.I'm not exactly what one could call a "pet person" but Binky is just about the most adorable cat creation ever. His adventures would be down right hilarious if he just weren't so serious about himself. Spires perfectly captures the attitude and idiosyncrasies of house cats everywhere in Binky and we can understand why they have such 'tude when we realize what an important job they actually have protecting us humans from the aliens. Binky and Gracie are wonderful together as they interact and try to best each other. With an adorable story, Spires pulls it all together with her droll artwork that manages to convey such emotion within each small drawing of Binky. Binky is sure to capture the hearts of cat lovers of all ages! less
