review 1: Not as good as I was hoping. Spruce is cute, pity about Rye though...THEY WERE SO IN LOVE!!!!! Wish Mephitis and the fox kits made an appearance. Felt that the book just kind of ended, like after the fire Avi was just in a rush like "...blah blah blah they moved back some didn't the end". I wish there had been more adventure for Poppy, but I guess we'll never find out what she and Spruce got up to :(Kinda nice about Bounder though)
review 2: Darling - The last in the Poppy series. Rye passes on and Poppy is trying to move beyond her sorrow. Ereth is not sure what to do to make her feel better. He heads to the creek for a swim and ends up getting stuck in the mud. Poppy appears and saves him, but she's shot into the air, nabbed by a bat and brought to the ba... morets cave. As friends and family plan her funeral, Poppy is off having the adventure of a lifetime. A sweet book. I haven't read any of the other Poppy books and it was easy to jump in to this one. less
