review 1: I absolutely loved this book. There aren't many books that stick with you for life, but this one is a good candidate.The only thing I found disappointing is the title. In Dutch (the language I read the book in) they titled it "The color of her heart" ("De kleur van haar hart"). "The Housemaid's Daughter" just doesn't do the story justice, in my opinion.I'm looking forward to more books by the author.
review 2: Sono alquanto perplessa sul......mio parere a proposito de: "La bambina dagli occhi di cielo". Trovo che le tematiche trattate nel romanzo siano lodevoli e io adoro leggere di argomenti delicati. Non posso assolutamente dire nulla sul tipo di scrittura, molto curata, semplice, ma allo stesso tempo affascinante. Però c'è qualcosa che non mi ha convinta, ... moreforse il lunghissimo lasso di tempo in cui si svolge il romanzo, ma credo che sia più che altro il fatto che il libro non è riuscito ad ingranare mai, è sempre scorso lento e un po' noioso. Trovo che sia una buona lettura, ma incompleta ecco, non eccellente. Comunque lo consiglio :) less
