review 1: Two years have passed since Violet and Travis went their separate ways once again, though of course it wasn't a very happy parting. Violet was shot by Jeremy who blamed her for Lillian's death and then killed himself and what followed next was nightmares, family problems as Demon still wanted Violet and her mother dead. With all that piling up, Violet needed to escape and so she up and left her father's and went to live with her mother and grandmother. Now two years later, her grandmother has died and Violet is headed back to her dad's place. When Violet left , Travis Phoenix went crazy and into a downward spiral. Now that she's back , he's not happy and is more than happy to show his frustrations. Can Violet prove to Travis that she still loves him and the fact she had to... more leave without him in order to move on with her life and past the incidents ? Book #2 is more intense than Book #1 as it involves more shooting and stronger emotions in relationships.I really enjoyed Heart Song by Bec Botefuhr and if you have not read any of her other books , then get onto it fast as she is one of my favourite indie authors.
review 2: Book two of the Biker Rockstar series, Heart Song, is just as fabulous as Phoenix Rockstar, and it starts right where Phoenix Rockstar ended so if you have not read the first one go back and read that before this one.After being shot and watching Jeremy pretty much blow his brains out in front of her, Mischief and her mother leave. They leave without Mischief forgiving Chief or Travis.Two Years later we find Mischief and her mother having been living with her gran, two states away, but gran has passed and her mom wants to do some traveling and tells Mischief to go pack and face her past. She tells her to stop hiding because she has not spoken to her father or Travis for the two years they have been gone. She needs to go back and forgive them for hurting her. Mischief's reunion with her father is rocky to say the least because Jasmine, her half sister, is there. Jasmin's mother has passed and has no one else, but she is hostile towards Mischief and Mischief feels the same about her; they are both jealous of each other. Her reunion with Travis is horrible. When she left she broke him and when he sees her, sees that she is back, he is furious and tells her to "fuck off". Ouch. After a lot of suffering, pain, and detoxing, everything somewhat goes back to what it was. Mischief and Chief work through their issues. Mischief and Travis are together again. Travis gets to see his little girl again. Also Mischief's mom returns and gets back together with Chief. The only problem(s) is Travis has a crazed, obsessed fan who happens to know what is going on with him and Mischief and is threatening her with bodily harm/death. Oh and Demon still hates Chief and is trying to hurt him by hurting Mischief. Also, Travis's ex girlfriend still wants Travis.I loved the way Chief and Travis were together, the way they would sing together; to each other. I loved the way they loved each other. The way Travis treated Mischief as though she were the only girl in the world. I loved the way their story ends. Bec Botefuhr I salute you. You are a Rockstar Author! less
