review 1: This book is fucking awesome! I've always wanted to read books with racing in them. I love F1 and this book is perfect, just in time for the grand prix! Dash is hurt and is borderline broken because of Dash. At first I was like what the hell is wrong with this son of a bitch then I knew from after that first race and she swiveled at a point, and after she gets checked out that Slade still cares for her deeply. There's gotta be a reason he's a asshole right?Well, right. I won't spoil. But it's a quick read. The story is nice and short.
review 2: Just an OK read for me........seemed more YA then adult I know this was supposed to be more of adult book, but it just had the young adult feel to it all the way through. Aside from a few steamy scenes I co... moreuld have sworn it was more geared towards younger readers/teenagers.It took me a few days to finish this book, which says a lot for me, I usually knock out a good book in a day.I wanted to like it, and I do love the idea of a female race car driver, it just fell short in my opinion. It was just too immature for my preference. The characters didn't seem like adults or even young adults to me, but more like some juvenile teenagers. They seemed to have no grasp of reality or a concept of the grown up world. I could have sworn Dash was a 14-15 year old girl during many times throughout story. She was beyond naïve, sheltered and just seemed so adolescent. Slade wasn't much better, playing the whole," I'm going to be mean to you because I like you" thing. It's not 3rd grade on the playground. Ya know?All that being said, however, the story line was cute.....but after a few chapters it was easy to tell how the entire story was going to play out.How much did I pay: $3.99Was it worth it: Personally I found it to be overpriced, but my preference is also for more mature readsWill I recommend: No, but other reviewers seem to really like this book, so it could easily just be me who didn't like/love this book less
