review 1: As the story began, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. It seemed like goat was doing a lot of complaining and that's not something I want my kids to do when they meet a new kid. But as the story progressed it showed that Goat had qualities that Unicorn wished he had and then realized they were better together than on their own. Proving that until we get to know someone we shouldn't judge them. Great book. (and really? a unicorn? fabulous)
review 2: Slightly disappointed in this story. I loved the colors and the idea behind it, but the silliness level fell a little short. It would be difficult to read for storytime because the illustrations don't stand out from a distance and it is hard to tell the difference between the goat and the unicorn. I d... moreon't think kids would get the idea of "goat cheese" and it was confusing as to who was speaking when the goat and the unicorn begin to get along. less
