review 1: I love Bonnie Dee's books, especially her flawed, beta heroes, so it pains me to only give this three stars. It was just okay for me. It seemed to stay on the surface of the character's lives, instead of delving deep. This could have been a functionality of length, as this was rather short, but it took away from the story for me. I liked it, I just didn't LOVE it like several of her others (Bone Deep, Finding Home).
review 2: Having previously enjoyed "Bone Deep" by Bonnie Dee, this is another romantic quick read involving a relationship typically frowned upon by society. Anna, a newbie lawyer, and Jason, a janitor working in her office building were attracted to each other and started hanging out. Jason suffered from brain injuries when his car crashed whi
... morele driving drunk. His memory had turned into "swiss cheese" and he had minimal memory of his life before the accident. Anna had not had a truly satisfying relationship in the past but with Jason, she felt a strong connection and found happiness. However, would they be able to overcome their significantly differently social economic status to have a long-term relationship? I enjoyed the romance with their hesitant initial attraction, angst resulting from being accepted socially, acceptance and forgiveness. less
