review 1: A great book about the atonement and how it can be accessed and used in our daily lives. The atonement doesn't just allow us to repent, it can transform us...Brad Wilcox says that many of us know the "Atonement could cleanse and console us, but they didn't grasp how it can transform us and how Christ offers us His enabling power however long that transformation process takes--even continuously." I think that describes the book in a nutshell. I love the way Brad Wilcox expresses his ideas, as in, "God isn't just proving us, He's improving us". The book is full of these "thinkers". I liked the personal stories and examples and found that I could understand the doctrine better because of them. I think I underlined something on every page! I enjoyed this ... morebook.
review 2: This is a wonderful book. While reading the first few chapters, it seemed like it was just a repeat of The Continuous Atonement, with a different color cover. But, although he does reteach some important doctrines about grace, most of this book is very different. I loved his exploration of temple work. My temple worship will never be the same because of the insights I have gained. And Brad Wilcox's discussion of holding callings and juggling our responsibilities is a must-read for any Latter-day Saint trying to prioritize in a world of increasing demands on our time. less
