review 1: Casually historical and deeply disturbing, The Monster's Muse took me by surprise more than once. The story of an undying child with an eye for horror, the novel wound into itself in ways which were sometimes satisfying, sometimes simply confusing. Some scenes and sentences were absolute gems, while others failed to hit their mark. A mixed bag, but I'm glad I had the chance to read it. I'll follow this author's career with interest.Trigger warnings for incest, assault, and child abuse. Read If:- You like your horror movies to have meta plots. - You're fond of old Hollywood history. *I won this book through First Reads.*
review 2: So I'm done ! This was a mix emotion book. Interesting , intriguing, a lil freaky , sad...ect.You felt sorry for Maddy and then would
... more be a lil creeped out. The author of this book, Mr.Tatum has an unique way of writting that makes you wonder how he comes up with this stuff or where his mind goes as he's writting. I don't want to say to much about The Monsters Muse because I think it should be read! WELL DONE MR. TATUM. CAN'T WAIT TO READ SOMETHING ELSE OF YOURS! less

I was lucky to win this book through goodreads! It's a little bit on the dark side, but I love it.
