review 1: Farrah Langley and Xavier Kane had an affair. It was as simple as that. Neither one was interested in commitment and with their busy schedules as a mediator and a lawyer, respectively, there simply wasn't time for a relationship.But their dependence on each other scares Farrah a little bit and she decides to call the arrangement off. After having some time off, however, Xavier realizes that he really cares about her and wants them to have a conventional relationship. Convincing Farrah that she wants the same is another matter.
review 2: Very good book -- Brenda Jackson is a very accomplished writer and keeps the tension at a peak level all the way through. Characters have been introduced in other books in this series. Xavier and Farrah are both wounded in ... morethe "love wars" and have determined that great sex with no strings is their life choice. However, they have been involved longer with each other than anyone else ever. Now they meet again six months after Farrah ended their liason--she was becoming way too comfortable with Xavier and looking forward to their encounters way too much. But the sparks continue to fly between them and the choice of whether to go their separate ways once more or resume their affair are at the core of this novel. This is a really good read! 4.75 out of 5 for me. less
