review 1: Okay, i don't normally leave negative reviews but it was very hard for me to finish this. The storyline wasn't very engaging but the thing that drove me nuts was the use of the word 'mum' when the servants were talking to their mistress. Servants would never have used that word, the term is ma'am - i know this can be caused by mishearing while watching British programmes as i have come across it before but it really needs correcting.
review 2: I was pleasantly surprise with this novel. I got this novel as a free ebook from Barnes and Nobles Nook app. I was not expecting such a great story. ... more I didnt learn more about how she came up with the formula, how she tested it, on who, and how she found out it has the same effect on everyone before marketing it in her bar. I love steampunk, and though it did not make me cry (which is how i judge a great novel) I thought it was definately worth reading, and I would definately pick up the second in the series. less
