review 1: I really enjoy this series - the backstory on the various characters, the plot development - and this one seemed to fall into the regular bucket of "great airplane read" until you found out whodunnit. While generally well set up and somewhat believable, the ending uses a somewhat forced ending relying on a very farfetched situation. I don't want to give away the story but this one reminded me of a Stephen King novel: great story, crappy ending.

Writing from the point of view of different characters (who all seem to have the same voice but that might be translation) but making it clear that key plot points are being concealed by those cha... moreracters is irritating, even though the big reveal is fairly predictable.
