review 1: Candace Calvert, as a former ER nurse, writes medical suspense/romance in a Christian vein. I love her books.I don't know how I missed this one because I've read all her others, but found it in my to read basket and snatched it up. Reading her books is like watching an episode of ER! Serious medical drama, along with suspense, characters that are flawed and in need of God's mercy and grace.I cried the last fourth of the book! I did! Readers come away understanding that we can't just be a strong woman, but we can be women of strength. We do this by allowing God to intervene in our lives, directing them to His glory and our own good.Fabulous read! I can't wait for her next book!
review 2: I haven't bothered to read the other reviews, but I'm sure they're a... morell good. This book was a great read. I felt the main plot was developed very well as well as the sub plots. The thing that stood out the most for me after I had finished the book was the fact that the author thoroughly brought each plot to it's own end in it's own time. What I mean by that is many authors probably think you have everything figured out, so the book comes to a screeching halt. This one does not. I read this on my Kindle, and I kept thinking the next page would be the last. But it wasn't. Each character's story was brought to a very satisfying end~~even the character whose ending was not happy. I will definitely look for this author again. less
