review 1: I loved reading this book! I thought it was very cute because Jack wanted to make the princess happy and he did everything he could to make the princess a present. He ended up making her a cake and while trying to deliver the cake he ran into a lot of trouble. When he finally reached her castle he didn't have any cake left so he told the princess his story and she thought it was the best present ever. I thought it was a cute story and I loved the ending.
review 2: This book is a great story time book! It has lots of pictures and you cant help but be interested. It is a long story but it is an easy read.It is about a boy who is invited to the princesses birthday party, but realizes that he does not have any money to buy her anything, so he gathers ingredients... more and makes her a cake. While on the way to the birthday party he encounters many obstacles, and arrives at the castle with only the strawberry from the cake. The guard immediately eats that. So what could Jack do? He gifted the princess with his story and she loved it. It is a fun book to read aloud as well. Very enjoyable book. less
