review 1: When you begin this story you will have moments where you are annoyed. That is due to the popular theme where the girl looses herself in the boy. While the main character starts out very strong and independent she begins getting all "swoon-y" over her "knight in shining halo." However, the evolution of the story and the plot alone make this an amazing read! I love the evolution of the character and am so glad that I read it! This is a very powerful story and I look forward with eager anticipation for the next book of the series!
review 2: i...i teared up a couple times reading this book. it was an amazingly written book, and the plot and everything was done great.see, Alex, is a teen who can see the good and bad in people. she can see their halos. the brigh... moreter the halo, the better the person is. well Alex has been jumping form foster home to foster home until Kate and Steven take her. they are both wonderful people and Alex has anything she could ask for with them. but she plans on running away to find her best friend Derry. well before she can really make a good escape plan, she meets Gabriel. Gabriel is her savior. he is gorgeous and has the brightest most purest halo shes ever encountered.and he is her guardian angel for the time being. litterley. and despite the guard she has out up around her self to keep people out, she falls deep in love with him. thats when things start to be better for Alex. she starts to come out of her shell and gets more comfortable with her foster family. but gabe, isn't with her permanently. he is there to keep Alex from an incident that will harm her greatly. until then, Gabe stays by her side and loves her. when they find a friends note, they go after the guy who made her do it. when i finished the ending, it felt as if i was Alex, it felt as if i was taking her grief for her haha. through out the story, you cant help but to fall in love with Gabe too! but all in all i loved this book completly. i cant wait to see whats next less
